Ok kiddo, I'm going to teach you about subject pronouns!
Subject pronouns are just fancy words for the words we use to talk about ourselves and other people at the beginning of a sentence. They tell us who is doing the action in the sentence.
For example, if I say, "I am eating a banana," the subject pronoun "I" tells you that I am doing the action of eating.
Here are all of the subject pronouns we use:
- I (like in the example I gave)
- You (when we are talking to someone)
- He (when we are talking about a boy or man)
- She (when we are talking about a girl or woman)
- It (when we are talking about something that is not a person, like an animal or an object)
- We (when we are talking about a group of people, including ourselves)
- They (when we are talking about more than one person or group)
So, when we talk or write, we use these words to help us know who is doing what!
