Subject-matter expert

A Subject Matter Expert (SME) is someone who knows a lot about a particular topic. A SME is usually an expert in their field and can provide specialised knowledge on a particular topic. They can answer questions, explain concepts, and provide guidance on a given subject. They may have worked in the industry for many years, and have studied and researched the subject extensively. SMEs are usually consulted when someone needs help understanding a complex topic.
