Sudden wealth syndrome

Sudden Wealth Syndrome is when someone gets a lot of money all at once and it can make them feel confused or stressed out. Imagine if someone gave you 100 candies all at once, you might feel really happy at first but then you might start to feel worried. You might not know what to do with all of the candies, and you might be afraid to lose them or share them with your friends.

The same thing can happen with money. If someone suddenly gets a lot of money, like winning the lottery or inheriting a large sum, they might feel really excited at first but then they might start to worry. They might worry about how to manage the money, how to invest it or protect it. They might feel pressured to spend it all or give it away to people who are asking for it.

This can be really overwhelming and confusing for someone who has never had a lot of money before. It's important for people to get support and guidance on how to manage sudden wealth, just like grown-ups need help from parents or teachers when they get a lot of candies.
