Supranationalism
Supranationalism is when a bunch of different countries work together to do things. It’s kind of like when you and your friends work together to build a sandcastle at the beach.
Just like how you and your friends each bring a different skill to building the sandcastle (one person might be really good at digging, while someone else is great at shaping the sand), countries that work together each bring their own strengths to the table.
When these countries work together on important things (like making sure everyone has access to clean water, or making rules about trade between countries), they can create their own group that’s above each individual country. That way, they can work together more easily and make sure that everyone is on the same page.
Kind of like how when you’re building a sandcastle with your friends, you might decide to make some rules (like not throwing sand at each other) so that everyone stays safe and happy.
This supranational group is kind of like a mini-team that helps make the world a better place.
