Surplus labor

Surplus labor is when there are more people looking for a job than there are jobs available. This happens when people need to look for another job but the number of available jobs is not enough to provide jobs for all the people who are looking for work. So, if there are 10 people looking for a job, but only 8 jobs available, there will be 2 people who don't get a job, and that is what is called surplus labor.
