Suspended animation in fiction

Suspended animation in fiction is when a character appears to be sleeping or frozen but can be woke up later. You may have seen it in movies or books with characters who are put in a deep sleep so that they can wake up in the future. It is like taking a really long nap and then being able to jump right back into the story like you never even fell asleep!
