Susulu (mythology)

Susulu is a mythology from the African region. It is a story that was told thousands of years ago and is still shared today. The legend is about an evil spirit called Susulu who could transform into animals and then steal and eat children. People in the African region believed that if they followed certain rules (like being careful and staying away from dark places and not talking too loudly in the night) then Susulu wouldn't come and get them. Today, people still tell the story of Susulu to their children as a way to encourage safety, good behavior, and to remind them of the past.
