Symbolic religiosity

Symbolic religiosity is when people use symbols or objects to show their religion instead of actually practicing it. It's kind of like wearing a superhero costume to show that you love superheroes, but not actually doing anything heroic.

For example, some people might wear a necklace with a cross on it to show that they are Christian, but they don't actually go to church or pray. Or they might have a statue of a Buddha in their home, but they don't follow Buddhist beliefs or practices.

It's important to remember that just because someone displays symbolic religiosity doesn't necessarily mean they are not religious or spiritual in their own way. It's just a way for them to express their beliefs in a visible and tangible way.
