Symbolic speech

Symbolic speech is when someone expresses their ideas, thoughts or emotions without using words. Instead of speaking they use symbols or actions to make their point. This could include things like holding up signs or wearing special clothes. For example, a person who is angry about a certain law might wear a shirt that says "No More Laws!" to show how they feel without having to say anything.
