Tabun oven

A tabun oven is like a very special kind of outdoor oven that people have been using for a really long time in some parts of the world, particularly in the Middle East. It's usually made out of really strong clay bricks and  can be found in lots of different shapes and sizes. Some people even use it to make yummy pizzas, bread, or most commonly, a type of flatbread called "tabun bread".

When it's time to cook with a tabun oven, people typically start by building a fire inside of it using words, sticks, or tiny pieces of wood that they collect from the ground. Once the fire has gotten really hot, they usually rake the ashes out of the oven and carefully place the food that they want to cook inside.

As the food starts to cook, the heat from the oven bakes it both from the bottom and the top very quickly because the oven is designed to trap and circulate all the heat inside. This is what gives tabun bread its unique taste and texture that people love.

When the food is ready, people carefully take it out of the oven with special tools so they don't burn themselves. Then, they get to enjoy their delicious meal!
