ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Tag question

A tag question is when you ask someone a question at the end of a statement to confirm something. For example, if you say "it's sunny outside," you can add a tag question like "isn't it?" This is a way to ask the listener if they agree with you or not. It's like saying, "I think this is true, do you agree?" Some tag questions use different words like "don't" or "haven't," but they all serve the same purpose of seeking confirmation or agreement from the listener.
