Tank destroyer

So tanks are really big, strong, and powerful vehicles that can drive around and shoot other things. Tank destroyers are special vehicles that are really good at making the tanks go boom. They have big guns on them that can shoot at the tanks from far away and destroy them! But they're not very good at fighting other things, like people or small vehicles, so they have to be careful and work with other types of vehicles to win battles. Think of it like a super hero whose special power is to break big things, but is not very good at fighting the bad guys with guns and swords.
