ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Tax resistance

Tax resistance is when people decide not to pay taxes to the government. It is usually done to protest laws or policies that the government has made that people disagree with. Tax resistance is usually done by people as a last resort, when other methods of protest have failed. It is usually illegal in most countries and both people and businesses can face penalties and fines for not paying taxes.
