ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Taxis

Taxis are like cars that you can hire to take you places. They are like a special type of car that is only for people who want to go somewhere but don't have their own car or don't want to drive it themselves.

When you need to go somewhere, you can call a taxi or go to a special place where taxis often wait for people to pick them up. Once you find a taxi, you tell the driver where you want to go and they take you there. Usually, they charge you money for the ride, which you have to pay at the end.

Taxis look different than normal cars. They have a special sign on the roof that says "Taxi" or sometimes "Cab." They also have a meter inside that shows how much money you are paying for the ride. You can see how much the ride will cost before you get in.

Taxis are usually used in big cities where there are lots of people and lots of traffic. They can be a convenient way to get around without having to worry about parking or driving in busy places.

Some taxis also have special features like a TV or free Wi-Fi to make the ride more comfortable. But remember, you always need to be safe and wear your seatbelt when you ride in a taxi.
