Telepsychiatry

Telepsychiatry is a way for people to see a psychiatrist from their own home, instead of going to an office or clinic. It is a type of telehealth service that allows people to connect with a mental health professional using technology. The psychiatrist will use a computer, tablet, or smartphone to connect with their patient and can provide counseling and therapy services, as well as screening and testing. The patient can usually talk to the psychiatrist one-on-one, via video and audio, or even text and chat. Telepsychiatry can be very helpful for people who are not able to get to a doctor's office, or for people who have busy schedules and find it difficult to find time to schedule a physical appointment.
