ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Tempora mutantur

Okay kiddo, so "tempora mutantur" is a Latin phrase that means "times change." And just like how you grow up and change as you get older, the world changes too!

So imagine you're looking at a picture from when your parents were your age. The cars are different, the clothes are different, maybe even the houses look different. That's because things change over time!

The same goes for things like technology and culture. When your parents were your age, they didn't have all the cool toys and devices you have now. And the things you like to do and watch on TV might be different than what they liked.

So basically, "tempora mutantur" reminds us that things change over time and we have to be ready to adapt and go with the flow. Just like how you learn and grow every day!
