Textile recycling

Okay, so when you wear clothes and they get old or you don't need them anymore, you might throw them away or give them to someone else. That's okay, but sometimes those old clothes can be reused or turned into something else! That's what textile recycling is.

Recycling means taking something old or used and making it into something new. With textile recycling, old clothes are collected and sorted. They might be separated by color or type of fabric. Then, the fabric is broken down into fibers. These fibers can be spun into yarn and then made into new fabric.

But that's not all! Sometimes the old clothes are in good shape and can be sold as second-hand clothing. Other times, the fabric can be used to make things like insulation for buildings or stuffing for furniture.

So, textile recycling is a way to make sure we're not wasting old clothes and fabric. We can turn them into something new and useful instead!
