Thatcherism

Thatcherism is named after Margaret Thatcher, a British Prime Minister in the late '70s and '80s. Thatcherism is a set of political policies that emphasized individual responsibility and free-market capitalism. Thatcherism believed that privatization of state-run businesses, reducing taxes, and limit the power of labor unions, while also supporting traditional values and patriotism. Basically, Thatcherism believed in people taking care of themselves, in government staying out of people's lives, and in businesses competing freely in the market.
