The Law That Never Was

Ok kiddo, so there was this law that people believed existed but actually didn't. It was called "the law that never was".

Have you ever played the game "telephone" where one person whispers a message to the next person and it gets passed along until the last person says it out loud? Sometimes by the time the message gets to the end, it's totally different from the original message, right?

Well, something like that happened with this law. Someone made up a fake law and told some other people about it. Those people told some more people, and eventually a lot of people believed that this fake law was real. But it wasn't!

Even though so many people believed in it, the law never actually existed. It was just a rumor that got out of control. So, always be careful about believing things that you hear from other people without checking if they are true.
