Therapeutic Assessment is like going to a doctor but, instead of just checking if we have a cold or a fever, we go to help us with our feelings and emotions.
When we go to a doctor, they ask us questions like "Where does it hurt?" or "What's bothering you?" In Therapeutic Assessment, the person who helps us (the therapist) asks us similar questions but to understand our thoughts and feelings.
Sometimes, we can feel really confused or sad, and we don't know why. Therapeutic Assessment helps us understand why we feel that way. We play games or draw pictures to help the therapist understand how we think and feel.
The therapist then uses what they learn to give us tips and tricks to feel better or to help us work through our emotions. It's like going to a coach to help us learn how to be happier and feel more comfortable with our emotions.
