ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Thermoplastic

Thermoplastic is like play-dough that you can reshape over and over again. When you put it under heat, it becomes soft and easy to mold. But when it cools down, it becomes hard again.

Just like how you can make different shapes and figures with play-dough, you can make all sorts of things with thermoplastic. It can be used to make toys, containers, car parts, and even clothes.

But unlike play-dough, thermoplastic can be melted and reshaped multiple times. This is why it's so useful in manufacturing different objects.

So, think of thermoplastic as play-dough that can be heated up and reshaped into different things over and over again.
