Okay, so have you heard of the country of Bulgaria? It's in Europe! Well, a long, long time ago, the people who lived there were called the Thracians. And just like every other group of people, they had their own stories and legends about gods and heroes.
One important figure in Thracian mythology was a god named Sabazios. He was kind of like their version of Zeus or Thor - he was really powerful! Another important god was Bendis, who was the goddess of the moon and had a bow and arrow just like a superhero!
The Thracians also had a lot of stories about heroes. One of the most famous was Orpheus. He was a musician who was so good that he could play his instrument, called a lyre, and make animals like lions and tigers fall asleep! But one day, he fell in love with and married a woman named Eurydice. Sadly, she died shortly after they got married. Orpheus was so sad that he traveled to the underworld - that's where people believe dead people go - to try to bring her back to life. And he was actually able to do it! But there was one condition - he couldn't look back at her as they were leaving the underworld. Sadly, he couldn't resist and he looked back, and Eurydice disappeared forever.
So that's a little bit about Thracian mythology! It's just a bunch of stories that the people in Bulgaria used to tell a long time ago about their gods and heroes.
