ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Tick-Tock model

The tick-tock model is like playing a game of catch with someone. One person throws the ball (tick) and the other catches it (tock). And then the other person throws the ball (tick) and the first person catches it (tock). This goes on and on.

In computers, the tick-tock model is like a clock that tells the computer when to do certain things. The clock sends out a signal (tick) and the computer does something like fetch or store data (tock). Then, the clock sends out another signal (tick) and the computer does something else (tock). This also goes on and on.

The tick-tock model is important because it helps the computer do things in a specific order and at a specific speed. It's like having a coach or referee to tell you what to do and when to do it in a game of catch. Without the tick-tock model, the computer would be confused and wouldn't know what to do.
