With this newfound independence, Kuwait started to become a more modern city with infrastructure development, including the building of roads, airports, and hospitals. Many important buildings were built during this time, such as the Kuwait Towers, which are three iconic towers that light up the sky at night.
In the 1980s, the city went through a big growth spurt! Tons of skyscrapers and modern buildings were built, giving the city a cool and modern look.
