A timeline of world history is like a big timeline of everything that happened in the world. It starts out way in the past with some of the first people, and then follows all the way up to the present. Each period of time is marked on the timeline so you can see how long different civilizations and events lasted for. It's a way for us to learn about all the important things that have happened in the world over thousands of years.
