Tingis is special because it has a long history. Many different people have lived in this city over the years, including the Phoenicians, the Romans, the Vandals, the Byzantines, the Arabs, the Portuguese, the British, the Spanish, and the French. Each of these groups has left their mark on the city, and you can still see signs of their influence today.
