Tirthankara

A tirthankara is a very special person in the Jain religion who teaches people how to live a good and happy life. Imagine a superhero like Batman or Spiderman, but instead of fighting bad guys, they help people become better and kinder.

Tirthankaras show us how to be kind to ourselves, other people, and animals. They teach us to be truthful, honest, and to not harm anyone. This makes the world a better and happier place for everyone.

Jain people believe that tirthankaras have special powers to help them achieve enlightenment, which means being really wise and knowing a lot about the world. They also believe that tirthankaras can guide us on our journey to enlightenment.

In Jainism, there are 24 tirthankaras who have lived in the past, but they are still remembered and celebrated today. When Jain people pray or meditate, they often focus on the teachings of the tirthankaras and try to follow in their footsteps to become better people.
