Topological data analysis

Topological data analysis (TDA) is a way of taking data (like numbers or measurements) and using math to turn it into a shape or form. The shapes are used to help us understand the data better. For example, if you have a lot of numbers about different animals, their sizes, and what big cities they live in, you can use topological data analysis to make a shape that shows the differences between the animals. It can help us understand how the animals are similar and how they are different.
