Toxicology

Toxicology is a science that studies how poisonous substances affect people and animals. People who study toxicology (called toxicologists) are like doctors, but instead of studying how to help people stay healthy, they study how to keep people healthy by understanding how to keep them away from poisonous things. Toxicologists study how different substances, like chemicals or medicines, can make people and animals sick. They also look at how to save people who have been exposed to poisonous things and how to help them get better.
