ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Trailblazing

Trailblazing is when someone goes somewhere that no one has ever been before. It's like exploring a brand new place where no one else has ever gone. Imagine you're walking in the woods and you see a really big hill. No one has ever climbed to the top of the hill before – it's up to you to explore and see what's up there! When you go up the hill, you're trailblazing because you're making a new path for other people to follow. They can now use the path you created to go up the hill, instead of trying to make their own way through the forest. Trailblazing is important because it helps us discover new things and make progress in areas where no one has gone before.
