Transfer of learning

Transfer of learning is when you use something you've learned in one situation to help you learn something new. For example, if you've learned about shapes like a triangle and a rectangle in one class, you can use that knowledge to help you learn about shapes in other classes. Transfer of learning means that you don't have to learn everything from scratch each time - you can use what you already know to help you.
