Transgenerational epigenetic inheritance

Transgenerational epigenetic inheritance is the passing down of changes in the genetic material in a family from one generation to the next even though those changes are not found in the actual genes (these are called epigenetic changes). It's like when you learn something from your parents and then you teach it to your kids. Epigenetic changes can be passed down from a parent to their child, and even from a grandparent to their grandchild. These changes can affect things like how the body makes proteins and how the body works.
