ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Translation memory

Translation memory (TM) is a way to store and remember translations you have already made. It works like a big filing cabinet that holds all the words and phrases you have written in different languages. Every time you make a new translation, it gets added to the filing cabinet. When you need to translate something again, you can look in the filing cabinet for the same translation and use it again, without having to translate it again. So it saves you time and energy by reusing the same words and phrases.
