Transportation network company

Imagine you want to go somewhere, but you don't have a car or don't feel like driving. There are these special companies called transportation network companies, or TNCs for short, that can help you out.

These companies have special apps you can download on your phone. When you open the app, it shows you a map and you can type in where you want to go. Then, the app finds drivers who are nearby and available to give you a ride.

When you request a ride on the app, a driver will come pick you up in their car. They might be driving their own car or a special car that belongs to the TNC. You can see their picture, name, and how far away they are on the app.

When you get in the car, the driver takes you where you want to go. You don't have to pay with cash, because the app automatically pays the driver for you. You can even rate the driver and leave them a tip if you want.

TNCs are really popular because they're a convenient and affordable way to get around. Just remember to always wear your seatbelt and be safe while riding!
