Okay, so trikaya is a really important idea in Buddhism. If you think of Buddha like a superhero, trikaya is like the different costumes he wears depending on what he needs to do.
There are three parts to trikaya - Dharmakaya, Sambhogakaya, and Nirmanakaya. Think of these like three different outfits.
Dharmakaya is like Buddha’s invisible outfit. It’s like his true nature that’s always there, even if you can’t see it.
Sambhogakaya is like his fancy outfit. He puts this on when he’s with other enlightened beings and they talk about really deep and complex ideas.
Nirmanakaya is like his everyday outfit. This is what he wears when he’s helping other people out and teaching them important lessons.
So just like how a superhero would wear different costumes depending on the situation, Buddha has different parts of trikaya to help him bring peace to the world. And even though trikaya might seem complicated, it’s actually pretty simple when you think of it like different outfits!
