Triple oppression is when a person is treated unfairly because of three things: their gender, their race, and their social class. Imagine that you are a teenage girl who is poor and Black. Triple oppression means that you will face a hard time in life because of your gender (being a girl), because of your race (being Black), and because of your social class (being poor). This means that you might not have the same opportunities as someone who is a teen boy, who is a different skin color, and who is wealthier. Unfortunately, triple oppression is still a very real problem in society today.
