Womanism is a type of feminism that centers the experiences of Black women. Its main focus is to help Black women solve problems that they face due to racism, sexism, and other forms of oppression. It supports the ideas that Black women should be free to live their lives as they choose and to make their own decisions without being limited by traditional gender roles or stereotypes. Womanism also calls for justice and equality for all women, regardless of race. It has been used as an important tool to help Black women fight for their rights, and to stand up against sexism, racism, and other forms of inequity.
