Tumor necrosis factor receptor 1

Okay kiddo, so you know how sometimes our body gets sick and we feel really bad? Well, sometimes there's this thing called inflammation that happens in our body as a way to fight off the sickness.

Tumor necrosis factor receptor 1 (TNFR1) is a special "button" on our cells that helps control inflammation. It can either turn the inflammation up or down depending on what's going on in our body.

Now, sometimes our body thinks it's sick even when it's not, and that can cause too much inflammation. That's where TNFR1 comes in to help. It can tell our body to calm down a bit with the inflammation so we don't feel so bad.

But, sometimes our body can get really, really sick and the inflammation is a good thing. In those cases, TNFR1 can actually help turn the inflammation up and make our immune system stronger to fight off the sickness.

So, TNFR1 is like a super smart button on our cells that helps control inflammation and makes sure our body is doing what it needs to do to stay healthy.
