Type (biology)

Type (biology) is a way of grouping living things into similar groups. Scientists use type (biology) to classify living things so they can study them better. For example, cats, dogs, and mice are all mammals, which is a type (biology) of animal. All the animals in this type (biology) have fur, give birth to live young, and have some other similarities. By knowing the type (biology) of an animal, scientists can learn more about its characteristics and behavior.
