UK labour law

UK labour law is a set of laws that tell employers what they can and cannot do when it comes to the work they do with their employees. For example, employers have a responsibility to make sure their workers have a safe and healthy workplace, they have to give workers minimum wages, they have to give workers breaks, and they have to protect workers from unfair treatment. Labour law also sets out what workers can do if they feel their rights have been violated. For example, if a worker is unhappy with the way their employer is treating them or if their employer isn't paying them enough, they can make a complaint to a government agency and take legal action.
