UN/LOCODE

Alright kiddo, have you ever heard of places like cities, states or even countries? Well, imagine if we had a secret code for each of those places. That's what an un/locode is!

Basically, it's a code that tells us where a place is in the world. The "un" part of the name stands for United Nations, which is a big group of countries that work together. The "locode" part just means "location code".

These codes are made up of letters and numbers, and they help people know exactly where something is going. For example, if you're sending a package from New York to London, you can use the un/locodes for both cities to make sure it gets to the right place.

Pretty cool, right? It's like a secret language for the places we live in!
