ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Union organizer

A union organizer is someone who helps workers in their workplace come together to form a group to support each other in improving their workplace. This group is called a union. Unions are powerful because joining together gives workers the strength to ask for better pay, better benefits, or better treatment from their employer. The union organizer works with the people from the workplace to get them to come together, make decisions, and speak up for their rights. They also help workers understand their rights. A union organizer can be anyone- it doesn't have to be a leader of the group. It just has to be someone who wants to help and has the knowledge to support the workers.
