ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Unspecified behaviour

Unspecified behavior is like when you and your friend are playing a game, but your friend doesn't tell you the rules. So sometimes you don't know what to do, and you might do something different than what your friend was thinking. It's the same with computers - sometimes the rules for how the computer should act in a certain situation aren't clear, so the computer might do something unexpected or different than what you thought it would do. So when we say "unspecified behavior," it just means that we don't know exactly what will happen in a certain situation, because the rules aren't clear. It's important to be careful when working with unspecified behavior so we can try to predict what the computer might do and make sure it doesn't do anything bad or unexpected.
