Urban history
Urban history is a field of study which looks at the growth and development of large cities or towns over time. It looks at how cities have grown, been shaped by different people, and changed through time. It looks at the history of the people who have settled in cities over time, the laws and policies that have been put in place, and the impact these have had on the urban environment, culture and society. Urban history also looks at the physical and architectural changes that have taken place, and how cities and urban areas have adapted to new technological, cultural and political changes.
