ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Usability requirements

Imagine you want to play with a toy but you can't figure out how to use it because it's too complicated. Usability requirements are like instructions for toys or games, but for things like websites, apps, or machines.

Someone who makes these things wants to make sure people who use them can figure out how to do it without getting frustrated. So they write a bunch of rules to make sure their product is easy to use.

One rule might be that buttons should be big and easy to see so you don't accidentally press the wrong thing. Another might be that you should be able to find what you're looking for without having to click through a bunch of pages.

These rules are like a checklist that the person making the product follows to make sure it's easy for people to use. If they follow all the rules, then when you use their product it should be easy and fun instead of frustrating.
