ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

VMware Infrastructure

VMware Infrastructure is a set of software and tools that lets you create what is called a “virtual machine.” A virtual machine is a type of computer that exists entirely as a set of software files. This means that you can use a virtual machine like any regular computer, but it won’t take up any space in your home or office.

Using VMware Infrastructure, you can install and run an operating system in the virtual machine, like Microsoft Windows or Linux. You can also install and run any programs or applications you want in the virtual machine. And best of all, you can switch back and forth between your actual physical computer, and the virtual computer that VMware Infrastructure creates. That way, you can use both at the same time.
