ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Vacuum cementing

Vacuum cementing is a process used to stick two things together by removing all the air between them. Imagine you have two pieces of paper and you want to glue them together so they don't come apart. Instead of just using glue and pressing them together, you put them in a machine that sucks out all the air between the papers. Then you put some glue on one side, and press them together. Because all the air is removed, the glue has a stronger hold and the papers won't come apart easily.

This process is often used in industries like manufacturing, where a very strong bond is required. For example, in the aerospace industry, vacuum cementing is used to stick parts of a spacecraft or a rocket engine together.

So, in summary, vacuum cementing is like using a giant "air sucker" to make things stick together more tightly.
