Vector algebra relations are a way of keeping track of vectors, which are lines with size and direction. Every vector has two pieces: a magnitude (or size) and a direction. To help us keep track of vectors, we use vector algebra relations. These relationships let us add, subtract, and find the length of a vector. Adding two vectors means combining their sizes to get a bigger vector and combining their directions to get a new direction. Subtracting two vectors means looking at the difference between their sizes and the difference between their directions. Finding the length of a vector means figuring out how long the line is.
