Vehicle Infrastructure Integration

Vehicle Infrastructure Integration (VII) is a way for cars, buses and other vehicles to communicate with roads, traffic lights and other vehicles.VII helps make roads and cities smarter and safer by allowing vehicles to “talk” to one another, as well as to the roads and traffic lights they’re driving on. This technology helps drivers plan the quickest and safest routes while avoiding traffic jams. It also improves safety by warning drivers of potential road hazards and giving drivers more time to react. Finally, it helps reduce air pollution by planning routes that avoid heavily congested roads.
