ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Victor's justice

Victor's justice is when the winning side of a war passes laws or judgments about the people who were on the losing side. It's a way for the winning side to punish people for things that happened during the war, like taking away their rights or punishing them for specific actions. Sometimes victor's justice is seen as unfair, because the people deciding how to punish the losers aren't currently living in the same country or having the same experiences as them. People also don't always agree that just because one group won a war, they have the right to decide how to punish the other group.
